The 18W Daisy-Chain-Lite is a a Lighting System with the use of multiple sub-units which may be added or strung together with the Master-unit to create a massive lighting chain without bulky excess cord and needing many electrical outlets. One switch on the Master-unit turns on/off power to all units in the system. Each light is 39.5in. long. If one bulb breaks all other lights will continue to shine.
All of the tube lights are fully self-contained meaning all electronics are located within the tube with no in-line ballast box to tangle up the cord. You can purchase additional sub-units to plug into the master thus creating a vast lighting chain that can include as many as 15 sub-units. Tough polycarbonite tubing throughout. The plug and receptacle for sub-units to plug into a master are dedicated so that only a sub-unit may be plugged into a master unit or another sub-unit. This is a safety device to avoid plugging in high voltage power tools and the like. Heavy duty magnets are included for each tube, so you are ready to go!
This light can be affixed nearly anywhere. For example, some mechanics put it right on a lift while others will attach it to the undercarriage and work the system like a spider, snaking it all around the undercarriage. It can also be installed down in a pit area (Jiffy-Lube types of garages) in a semi-permanent manner via the included large magnets. This product throws out volumes of bright light, but is much safer, cooler and easier to handle than halogen floor lights.
